Medeam SC will play their penultimate CAF Confederations’ Cup home matches at the Sekondi Essipong Stadium.
The decision to play in Sekondi was taken by management of the club and has been duly communicated to CAF.
The Tarkwa based club defeated Asante Kotoko 1-0 in the FA Cup final in Accra earlier in June to seal an automatic qualification to Africa..
Medeama play their home games at the Tarkwa T & A park, which is not of international standard.
“We decided on two stadia, the Accra sports stadium and Essipong stadium. The Essipong stadium is an international standard stadium so we have accepted to play our home games at there,” Chief Executive of Medeama, James Asirifi confirmed on Asempa FM’s sports nite.
Medeama have fortified their squad with the acquisition of five new players including returnee Jacob Apau, Kotoko duo Michael Helegbe and Kofi Agyare, King Faisal’s Samuel Adade and Benjamin Akuffo also joining from Amidaus Professionals.
