Dreams FC bowed out of the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday following their defeat to Zamalek SC.
The Still Believe lads suffered a 3-0 loss at the Baba Yara Stadium in the second leg of their semifinal tie.
The result in Kumasi, after a goalless draw in Cairo, spells the end of the road for the Ghanaian side in the competition.
Hamza Mathlouthi opened the scoring in the 12th minute of the game, capitalizing on a poor defender from Dreams from a set piece.
Samson Akinyoola doubled the lead for the Egyptian side 15 minutes later to pile more pressure on the home side.
Despite going two down, Dreams created some decent chances in the game but were unable to bury their opportunities. Zamalek went into the break with a commanding lead.
Karim Zito’s men were hopeful of putting up a better performance in the second 45 minutes of the game.
However, Mostafa Shalaby scored 15 minutes into the second half to extend the visitor’s lead to three.
Despite a late attempt from the Dawu-based side, they were unable to snatch a consolation in front of the home crowd with Zamalek ending their fairytale run in the competition.
