Ghanaian celebrities and politicians are mourning the passing of veteran musician Charles Kwadwo Fosu, known in showbiz circles as Daddy Lumba.
In a Facebook post, former President Akufo-Addo described the late artiste as “a pantheon among musical greats of all time”, acknowledging both the personal loss of a friend and the national loss of a cultural icon.
Hiplife great Reggie Rockstone thanked the versatile singer "for all the joy and smiles, and more you gave us, brother.
He said the country should stand to celebrate "a great human." Remembering sharing a stage with the icon, he described it as "an honour to bask in your light."
The news of the sad passing of the singer and songwriter has left Efya and Efi Odo "lost for words."

Musician and politician, Kwame A Plus, who worked with Daddy Lumba on a hit campaign song for then-candidate Nana Akufo-Addo, saluted his good friend.
Devastated Sarkodie in his IG story thanked the icon for his role in entertaining the country, saying Daddy Lumba's "legacy will live on" while consoling his family.
Patric Yaw Boamah tweeted, how Daddy Lumba's "music shaped generations, and your legacy will live on forever in the hearts of Ghanaians and lovers of highlife across the world."
