Bayer Leverkusen strengthened their position at the top of Group C with a 2-1 away win over Russian side Zenit St Petersburg.
A second-half brace from South Korea forward Son Heung-Min was enough to secure victory over Andre Villas-Boas' side, who pulled a late goal back through Jose Salomon Rondon.
The German club are four points clear of Zenit in second spot while Benfica boosted their hopes with a 1-0 win over Monaco thanks to Brazilian Talisca's strike eight minutes from time.
