The National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) Special Registration was at the doorstep of some civil servants at the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in Accra.
The Special Registration is in commemoration of the Civil Service weeklong celebration.
Civil servants and the general public are taking advantage of the exercise to register and renew their membership.
The NHIS is a major collaborator in the weeklong celebration and officers are at vantage points helping people to get onto the Scheme.

It was easy for participants at a public lecture organised as part of the celebrations at the National Theatre to take advantage.
The theme for the celebration was ‘Improving Service Delivery to Promote Ghana Beyond Aid.’
In a speech read on her behalf, the Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei Opare, noted that the Ghana's Beyond Aid achievement is dependent on the active participation of the civil service.
According to her, government effected the Public Sector Reforms Strategy for sustained national development.
She called for attitudinal change in all sectors of the economy to make the Ghana Beyond Aid agenda a reality.
