The Executive Secretary of the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers Ghana (COPEC), Mr. Duncan Amoah, has been honoured with the highly coveted Energy Signature of the Year Award at the 2025 (9th) Ghana Energy Awards, in recognition of his outstanding and sustained contributions to Ghana’s energy sector.
The Energy Signature of the Year category is one of the most competitive and respected honours at the Ghana Energy Awards, reserved for individuals whose work has left a lasting and transformative impact on the energy industry. Mr. Amoah’s recognition reflects years of consistent advocacy, policy influence, and leadership that have helped shape national conversations and reforms within Ghana’s petroleum and energy landscape.
The award celebrates individuals whose vision, leadership, and commitment have significantly advanced the sector through major policy interventions, consumer protection advocacy, and impactful energy-related projects. Under Mr. Amoah’s stewardship, COPEC has emerged as a critical voice in energy governance, championing transparency, accountability, and consumer-centered policies across the petroleum value chain.

Mr. Amoah’s work has consistently bridged the gap between policymakers, industry players, and consumers, ensuring that energy sector reforms remain responsive to public interest. His contributions have influenced fuel pricing discussions, regulatory reforms, and public awareness on petroleum consumption and energy sustainability.
In acknowledging the award, Mr. Amoah expressed gratitude to the organisers and dedicated the honour to the COPEC team and stakeholders who have supported the organisation’s mission over the years. He reaffirmed his commitment to continue advocating for a fair, efficient, and sustainable energy sector that serves the needs of all Ghanaians.
