The Nkawie Circuit Court, presided over by Mr Noble Nkrumah, has remanded two persons in prison custody allegedly for conspiracy, assault, threat of death and causing damage to property.
Osei Tutu Afriyie, alias Kwaku Tutu, a trader and Akrugu Ayariga, alias Soldierman, an apprentice mason, have both pleaded not guilty and would re-appear on October 30.
Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Mr H.A. Agyare, told the packed court that during a recent chieftaincy dispute at Atwima-Agogo, a group of persons, including the son of the complainant in the case, reportedly burnt down a house at Atwima-Agogo, belonging to Afriyie's brother.
Chief Inspector Agyare said Afriyie convinced Ayariga to accompany him to Kotokuom, near Nkawie, to punish the complainant.
The court heard that when they arrived at Kotokuom, they attacked the complainant, beat him up and threatened to kill him.
According to the prosecution, the two suspects went into the complainant's room, destroyed his personal property valued at GH¢1,000 and burnt the house into ashes.
