UN Global Compact Network Ghana in collaboration with CSR Foundation Ghana and the Ghana Chamber of Mines is pleased to organize the inaugural Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainability Week Celebration from 9th September to 13th September, 2013.
The initiative is aimed at sustaining awareness and encouraging corporate bodies to continue to act responsibly and to be active partners in the sustainable development of Ghana.
The week’s activities are under the theme “Enhancing Sustainability through Corporate Responsibility”.
The weeklong celebration is carefully planned to present a platform for the discussion of very key sustainability issues and to offer corporate bodies the opportunity to showcase their initiatives for others to emulate.
The week will commence on Monday 9th September with a discussion on Water and Sustainability and the United Nations Global Compact’s CEO Water Mandate.
It will involve a consultative meeting on Sustainable Agriculture Business Principles being proposed by the UN Global Compact at the Coconut Grove Hotel at 9am.
The week will be climaxed with a Public Lecture delivered by Professor Wayne Dunn from the McGill University, Canada, followed by an awards ceremony and a networking cocktail.
