Former Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Cynthia Morrison, has urged Ghanaian women to develop multiple skills to enhance their economic independence and competitiveness in today's rapidly changing world.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Sweetie Aborchie on ‘Women, Power, Politics’ on JoyNews, Madam Morrison stated that relying on a single skill set could limit women's potential for growth and financial stability.
"Never limit yourself to just one skill," the veteran politician advised.
"The world is changing rapidly, and women must be prepared to adapt,” she said.
Madam Morrison, who has successfully combined her political career with entrepreneurship and education management, shared personal experiences to illustrate her point.

"Even now, with my position and responsibilities, I don't separate myself from hands-on work. This afternoon I just finished preparing my waakye and my shito," she revealed, demonstrating her ability to multitask at different levels of her personal, professional and political life.
The former Minister disclosed that she continues to oversee multiple educational institutions while exploring further opportunities for expansion.
"My schools—it's not just one school—I still run my schools and I'm thinking of establishing a third school focused on vocational training for children," she said.
Madam Morrison added that developing diverse skills creates alternative income streams and builds resilience against economic uncertainties.
