South African Premier Soccer League side Free State Stars have announced Ghana goalkeeper Daniel Agyei has been released.
Ea Lla Koto have confirmed they reached a mutual agreement with the 24-year-old to cancel the two-year contract left on his deal.
Even with the long-term injury to Burkina Faso international Daouda Diakite, the club consider him surplus to requirements.
“He has left the club and I don’t know where he is now. We went our separate ways and gave him his clearance,” Free State Stars General Manager Rantsi Mokoena said.
Agyei had been placed on the club’s transfer list at the end of last season after battling with injuries during his first season with Stars.
