Reports have it that Intercontinental Bank Ghana’s new managing director, David Aluko, has arrived in the country and is currently warming up to his new position.He takes over from Albert Mmegua who had served in that capacity for almost five years.Citi Business News has learnt Aluko has been in the country for the past two weeks and is working hand in hand with Mmegua, who will exit on 12th December.Mr. Aluko’s main role when he fully takes over as Managing Director of IBG will be to aid in the integration of the bank into Access Bank which is expected to be completed by the end of June next year.Aluko, until his new appointment was the assistant manager and super regional head of commercial and consumer banking in the Surulere region at Access bank.He has at various times worked at Access Bank subsidiaries in Ghana and Cote D’Ivoire at executive management level and holds an MBA degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Nigeria.
