Early Life and Influences
Debby Sway was born in Takoradi, Ghana and spent her formative years in both Accra and Takoradi.
Music never ran in her family history, but she had always had the passion to sing and to write.
Her wide range of listenership influenced her versatility.
Musical Journey
She began making music professionally after high school. After graduating from the university, she then embraced her music career fully.
Her first single, ‘Gimme Everything’, was a dancehall song that paved the way for her next Afrobeats release, ‘Correct’, which gained popularity in many parts of Ghana.
Following this, she released more versatile sounds, reinstating her fluidity by transitioning between genres.
The songstress is also out with a new song dubbed 'Searching' released on June 26, 2025.
