Chelsea striker Didier Drogba believes that neither he nor Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney can claim to be the better player.
Both forwards are leading the title charge for their respective teams with Drogba having netted 17 times for Chelsea in the Premier League and Rooney on 21 occasions for the Red Devils.
Inevitably, comparisons have been drawn between the two front men, but Chelsea’s Ivorian international dismisses these, suggesting that Rooney is a ‘different player’.
"It does not annoy me if people compare the two of us. I do not believe there is a best player," said Drogba, as quoted by Sky Sports.
"Maybe you can be the best at a certain time, but another time it will be someone else. Rooney is unbelievable, but we are different players."
