DJ Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss was dancing in new $4M home days before suicide

Just days before Stephen Boss, known as DJ tWitch on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” tragically took his own life, he was seen dancing and smiling throughout his California home.

On Monday night, his wife of nearly a decade, Allison Holker, posted several videos on Instagram of the two of them getting into the holiday spirit by cutting a rug in front of their Christmas tree.

“HOLIDAY SUNDAY FUNDAY DANCE !!! With my lover,” Holker, 34, wrote in the caption.

Boss, who was 40 years old, also posted another video earlier this month of himself grooving to music in his living room with the caption: “Moving around a little on a Friday night.”

But as fans were quick to note, sometimes things are not as they seem.

“Always check in on your friends and families,” a Twitter user named Ashanti said in a note above an advertorial video showing Boss and his family dancing along to the music of a bopping toy. “People be fighting secret battles that we [know] NOTHING about. Rip Twitch. This is so heartbreaking. Praying for the wife and those beautiful babies.”

The two purchased a newly built home in Encino back in 2019 for $2.75 million, records obtained by The Post show.

Worth an estimated $4 million today, the home has six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, spanning 4,600 square feet.

Pegged as a modern farmhouse in the upscale Amestoy Estates, features include smart home technology, a built-in barbecue and a fire pit in the backyard with an expansive pool and spa.

The previous listing notes that the home has an “award-winning elementary school” nearby. Boss and Holker share three children, Weslie, 14; Maddox, 6; and Zaia, 3.

The same year, in 2019, they also purchased a four-bedroom, four-bathroom home in Utah.

The couple owned a four-bedroom, three-bathroom home in Sherman Oaks, which they sold for $1.28 million in 2019 before upgrading to their current home.

On Monday morning, Boss allegedly checked into a motel less than one mile away from his home in Los Angeles, TMZ reported.

Motel staffers told the outlet that Boss “didn’t appear to be in any sort of distress and wasn’t visibly upset about anything.”

He reportedly brought one small bag with him and had booked the room for only one night.

On Tuesday, when Boss missed his checkout, a motel staffer reportedly entered his room. His body was allegedly discovered in the bathroom.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner later revealed his official cause of death was due to suicide by a gunshot wound to the head.

Holker appeared to be frantic when she reported her husband missing — revealing it was not like him at all, and that he’d left his car at home.

On Wednesday, DeGeneres paid tribute to her longtime friend, who had worked with her since 2014.

“I’m heartbroken. tWitch was pure love and light. He was my family, and I loved him with all my heart. I will miss him,” said DeGeneres, 64. “Please send your love and support to Allison and his beautiful children — Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia.”

Holker also released a statement.

“It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us,” Holker said of the “So You Think You Can Dance” judge. “Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”

“To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt,” she continued. “I am certain there won’t be a day that goes by that we won’t honor his memory. We ask for privacy during this difficult time for myself and especially for our three children.”

She concluded: “Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you.”
