The 8th edition of Eastern Music Awards, one of Ghana's foremost regional music award schemes, will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024.
The event, which has become a significant fixture in the country's entertainment calendar, aims to spotlight and celebrate outstanding musical talent from the Eastern Region.
This year's awards ceremony promises a dynamic showcase of performances, with appearances by acclaimed artists including KK Fosu, Wendy Shay, Ko7, Tee Rhyme, Pappy Jonah, Gyaldem Tish, Kobby Bless, C-Clark, 2Khay, and Emrys. These acts represent a cross-section of the diverse musical styles that define the region's vibrant music scene.
In addition to musical performances, the Eastern Music Awards is dedicated to recognizing artistic excellence, cultural expression, and innovation. Over the years, the platform has played a pivotal role in honouring and promoting artists from the Eastern Region, contributing significantly to Ghana's entertainment industry.
The event will feature a red carpet session hosted by Sister Sandy of Adom TV, while King Kweku Mensa of Media General will serve as the evening's master of ceremonies.
This year's winner of the coveted Artiste of the Year award will earn the opportunity to perform at the African Music Week in Canada, an initiative by Aim2lmpact to provide international exposure to Ghanaian talent.
