The keynote speakers for the third edition of Joy FM’s ‘Showbiz Roundtable’ have been unveiled.
The programme will have personalities like playwright and author Uncle Ebo Whyte, and Bright Ladzekpo, CEO at PHD Media Ghana Ltd. speak to the theme ‘securing sponsorship for events and creative content.’
About Uncle Ebo Whyte
James Ebo Whyte, popularly known as Uncle Ebo Whyte is a playwright, author, motivational speaker, father, husband, and a leader. But he simply describes himself as a storyteller.
He began writing plays in 1975, a profession he got into by accident, and has since then successfully written and directed more than 51 plays. He is Ghana's most successful playwright and has, through his works, revived theatre in Ghana, after its long dormancy.
He was recently awarded a Cultural and Tourism Icon by the Ghana Tourism Authority and a GAW Achievement Award by the Ghana Association of Writers.
As an author, Uncle Ebo Whyte has authored three books - THE DEAL, THE PERFECT COUPLE AND LET'S TALK ABOUT SEX. He is a matured Christian, a counsellor, a preacher of the gospel and an intercessor He is a motivational speaker, and has for over 30 years consistently spoken into the heart of Ghana through FOOD FOR THOUGHT a segment on Joy 99.7 FM. Uncle Ebo Whyte is an ardent believer of love and relationships and has been married to Florence for 40 years. He fathers many; believing, that fatherhood transcends biology and DNA.
Bright Ladzekpo
Bright Ladzekpo is Managing Director and CEO of PHD Media Ghana.
He is a marketing communications professional with 25 years of experience in driving transformational growth and market leadership for businesses and brands in the Telecommunications, Travel and Tourism, Banking, Insurance and Consumer Packaged Goods industries in West Africa.
He serves on the Board of PHD Ghana, the Executive Council of the Advertising Association of Ghana (AAG) and the Advertisement Regulation Committee of Ghana’s Food and Drug Authority (FDA) and the Africa Rising committee of the International Advertising Association (IAA).
The event will take place on 29th July, 2023 at the Labadi Beach Hotel.
The programme will tackle the dynamics of sponsorship in the creative space.
It seeks to understand how creative people can get sponsorships from corporate institutions and entities for their content and events.
There will be an opportunity to shed light on what both Corporate Ghana and the creative industry stakeholders require of each other with regards to sponsorship.
The ‘Showbiz Roundtable’ will also spot the challenges faced by both parties in the sponsorship chain.
The discussion session will comprise experts in the entertainment industry and business buffs. Invited stakeholders of the industry will also be allowed to contribute to the programme.
Come meet the connoisseurs of the tourism, culture and creative industries share ideas on progressive conversations.
Hosted by Kwame Dadzie, the 'Showbiz Roundtable' will be live on Joy 99.7 at 2pm.
