Ecobank Ghana, the country’s largest bank, has brightened the lives of hundreds of orphaned children by donating a variety of items to two orphanages in the country.
The donations went to Kinder Paradise at Prampram, and Agape Children’s Orphanage at Frafraha.
The items were from the Remittance Unit of the bank, and they included food items such as Milo beverage, oats, milk and others, plus cleaning detergent and soap, as well as customized clothes and towels for each kid.
“The donations were part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility, and a gesture to make the orphans feel loved,” a statement from the bank said.
Communications Director of Ecobank Ghana, Daniel Kasser Tee used the opportunity to tell the children the history the bank and also encourage them to do early savings.
Meanwhile, the bank had earlier donated GHC50,000 to the Leukaemia Project Foundation in support of the fight against cancer.
