The number one song on your favourite music chart this week may be ‘Shuga’ by Stonebwoy featuring Beenie Man.

However, the number two song, ‘Nobody’ by Kwesi Arthur, is threatening ‘Shuga’s position.

There are increasing talks about the song on social media as Kwesi Arthur readies for his solo concert in London in July.

Listeners are always eager to praise Kwesi Arthur and Mr Eazi for the amazing collaboration. Videos of fans enjoying the song in their personal space and the airplay it receives, have increased popularity as more and more people warm up to it.

The song had been on the chart for more than a month but climbed up at a slower pace. However, the growing interest of people in the song is increasing its chances of topping the chart.

At number three is Fameye’s ‘Nothing I Get’.

The growth of ‘Nobody’ has affected ‘No More’ by Kuami Eugene featuring Sarkodie.

Although the song was aiming for the ultimate spot last week at number two, it has fallen to the fourth position. Not bad if you think about it, it is still in the top five and has the opportunity to take the mantle from ‘Shuga’.

Less than a month on the chart and ‘Nsenkyerene Nyankopon’ by Diana Hamilton has joined the top five, a difficult feat for many. However many people seem to be enjoying the Gospel singer’s latest a lot, so its current position may not exactly be a surprise.

At number six is ‘Don’t Be Late’ by Kofi Mole.

‘Kpo Keke’ by Stonebwoy featuring Medikal, Darkovibes, Kelvyn Boy and Kwesi Arthur has dropped to number seven this week.

‘Jama’ by DJ Mic Smith featuring Patoranking and Shaker has taken another drop. The song is at number eight.

‘Omo Ada’ by Medikal takes over the ninth position. Although it has dropped after topping the chart six times in a row ‘Omo Ada’ still manages to get people on their feet anytime it plays, assuring it of its spot in the top ten.

At number ten is ‘Bad Energy’ by Guru featuring Kwesi Swat.

Also affected by ‘Nobody’ growth is ‘W’asue Me’ by Obaapa Christy. After staying at number 10 for three weeks, the song is holding the 11th position.

‘Eno Be My Matter by Okyeame Kwame featuring Kuami Eugene is again maintaining its number 12 position from last week.

For its second week on the chart, ‘Dzigbordi’ by Lord Paper has moved up from 19 to number 13.

Another song moving up the chart is Dope Nation by ‘Zanku’. The song is at number 14.

At number 15 is ‘Steve Wonder’ by Wendy Shay featuring Shatta Wale.

At number 16 ‘Pilolo’ by Guilty Beatz, Mr Eazi and Kwesi Arthur, three positions down from its previous position.

Making its debut on the chart at number 17 is Dondo by Kwaw Kese featuring Skonti. The song was released in May but has only begun catching the attention of Ghanaians.

‘Sugar Daddy’ by KiDi featuring Mr Eazi is holding the number 18 position. The song which appears on his new album ‘Sugar’ is debuting on the chart almost two weeks after the album dropped.

‘Asew’ meaning in-law by Bisa Kdei is at number 19.

‘My Matter’ by Praye another debut this week is at number 20.

Goodbye to Samini’s ‘Rainbow’, ‘Mr. Badman’ by KiDi and ‘Holiday’ by Dafie Opanka.

With fresh releases every week the taste of people in music keep shifting from one to another. Let us see if the change in preference will move some of your favourites off the chart or make them stay for longer.
