The six-man government delegation to assist with the coordination of the evacuation of Ghanaians from Libya at the Evacuation Liaison Post at SALUM, a border post on the Egypt-Libya border has arrived at the destination.
According to a member of the team, the group arrived at the Egyptian Airport Wednesday morning.
The team includes medical personnel from the 37 Military Hospital, National Security and a journalist from the Ghana News Agency (GNA) left for Cairo Tuesday.
The GNA reporter, Ken Sackey, told Asempa News reporter Kwaku Antwi-Otoo, from Egypt that the team was expected to meet the Ghanaian sojourners by the close of day.
“we arrived safely, but we are yet to see any Ghanaian”.
The Government of Ghana Tuesday announced the establishment of the Evacuation Liaison Post at SALUM, a border post on the Egypt-Libya border, to coordinate the evacuation of Ghanaians from Libya.
