Rev. Kofi Awadzi, a Servant Leader of the Love Voice Ministry says soul winning for Christ should be the duty of all Christians and not only leaders.
Speaking in an interview with Myjoyonline.com after the launch of his latest book, From Discipleship to Witnessing, the reverend minister said, “Winning souls is our basic duty, we are saved to save other people.”
He however noted that to be able to effectively win souls for Christ, one needs to adequately equip him or herself for that task.
The retired Director of the Information Services Department explained that, “You must move from a point to another. We presume that once you are a Christian, you can win souls for Christ.”
“Whether you are a pastor or a church member, you must move from a point to get to the other. It is key to be a disciple (learner) before you can become a witness then you can win souls for Christ,” he added.
The book, which was launched last Friday at the Teacher’s Hall of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), he noted, holds the key for a successful witnessing by both Christians and non-Christians.
Rev. Kofi Awadzi observed that the church is supposed to change lives and “being in church alone is not enough” for God’s work.
The book, which is his second theological work after The Kingdom Builder was released early this year and was reviewed by Rev. Dr Dela Dogbe, a pastor at the AME Zion Church in Mamprobi.
Rev. Kofi Awadzi has released several Christian manuals for men, women and the youth.
The general public can get copies of the 90-page From Discipleship to Witnessing in book stores across the country.
