Akwaaba Magic is excited to announce the launch of its new TV series for primetime, House of Klu.
The pre-screening took place at the MultiChoice Ghana office in Abelenkpe, ahead of the daily broadcast on DStv and GOtv.
The event celebrated Ghanaian talent and brought together industry professionals, dignitaries, and series enthusiasts.
A young pickpocket's life changes when he is struck by the car of a wealthy businessman.
Adopted into privilege but burdened by amnesia, he unknowingly becomes the keystone of the same empire that destroyed his biological family.
The series showcases Ghanaian talent and reinforces the importance of local storytelling.
The event was graced by a cross-section of film/TV personalities, media, fans and the Acting CEO of the National Film Authority, Kafui Danku.
Also, in attendance was the talented cast and crew of the House of Klu. The Guest of Honour, Kafui Danku, commended the Akwaaba Magic team for diversifying the language options in film/TV production in Ghana whilst celebrating the potential of local content and the creative industry.
She also commended the producer Ivan Quarshigah for his penchant for unearthing new talents and widening the gene pool of the Ghanaian film sector.
House of Klu is now available on Akwaaba Magic, on DStv (Ch.150) and GOtv (Ch. 102), bringing viewers some wholesome family entertainment every weekday at 8pm.
This marks an exciting milestone for Akwaaba Magic, as The House of Klu is its second locally-produced TV series with an Ewe theme (English subtitles available).
One of the standout features of House of Klu is the relevance of this story in Ghana today, where wealth, ethics and reputation clash with tradition, fairness and land ownership.
Directed by Ivan Quarshigah, an accomplished filmmaker, this 130-episode series boasts of an entirely Ghanaian cast.
This commitment to showcasing local talent cements Akwaaba Magic’s ongoing investment in the local entertainment industry and its dedication to providing a platform for Ghanaian stories to be told.
