Former Black Queens Captain, Grace Adjoa Bayor is set to leave the shores of the country to Costa Rica ahead of the Women’s Under 17 world cup on Wednesday night.
Bayor who is a member of the FIFA Women’s committee for the World Cup is expected to add her rich vein of experience to the world cup after playing for the Black Queens for almost a decade.
“I am part of the committee for the World Cup and I will leave on Wednesday, I have been told the specific things I will be doing when I get there, I cannot share because some will just be behind the scenes and some are confidential, so I am just hoping God will give me the wisdom and the strength to do what I want to do in Costa Rica.
“I am hoping with my experience in women football, I will be able to help deliver at the highest level to help the Women’s World cup football”. Bayor told Asempa Sports.
Meanwhile, the National Under 17 female team, the Black Maidens arrived in Costa Rica from the camping base in the United States of America on Tuesday ahead of the campaign in the upcoming world cup.
Ghana is drawn in Group B of the World Cup alongside Germany, North Korea and Canada.
