The Krachi West Police have arrested Vida Nimola 21, a farmer for alleged double registration in the on-going voter registration exercise.
Mr Peter Glabu, Krachi West Divisional Crime Officer, briefing Ghana News Agency, said electoral officials identified her to have registered as Vida Bufin in 2006.
He said Jeremiah Mabe 32, was identified as having registered as Ngeebe Mabe 30, and Patricia Portukin 32, also registered as Abena Gmatam 20 and their photographs in the previous register gave them up.
Mr Glabu said Nimola would be prosecuted while efforts were being made to arrest Mabe and Portukin.
Mr Kwabena Karikari, Krachi West District Electoral Officer observed that attempts at double registration and influx of minors to register accounted for the high turnout during the exercise.
He said all the 6,700 registration forms supplied to the district had been exhausted.
