Ghana international goalkeeper Fatau Dauda says he will request a January loan move if he continues to sit on the bench at Orlando Pirate.
Dauda has not played a single minute for Pirates since joining them at the start of the 2013/14 season.
He has been kept out by Senzo Meyiwa, who appears to be well ahead in the race for the goalkeeper position, meaning Dauda could be left with no competitive football going into the World Cup.
“I went to the coach [Roger de Sa] the last time and I had a chat with him about playing time. He explained that because I wasn’t registered for the Champions
League he couldn’t play me in that competition,” Dauda told Laduma.
“Also in the PSL, over 10 matches have been played but we have played just five games. So definitely my chance will come.
“But if I continue to be benched, I will request a loan move elsewhere in the January transfer window if I cannot be assured regular game time at Pirates,” he added.
Dauda is likely head to the 2014 FIFA World Cup as Ghana’s number one.
