Chief Executive Officer of premier league side Ashgold Kudjo Fianoo is displeasured with the confirmed PLB premiership date changes without consulting club officials.
The management member of the Football Association believes plans have been made to cover all league matches with all financial considerations and therefore this kind of inconsistent planning from the league board is on called for.
“Do you think the English Football Association will just change dates without consulting club administrators? I think the planners of the entire league for the whole season are level headed people and therefore should have considered all domestic and international football activities that could have disrupted the calendar”, he said.
According to a PLB statement, the revision is as a result of the delay in the commencement of the 2012/2013 MTN FA Cup programme."As a result of the revision, Match-Day-6 of the Glo Premier League has been brought forward to Sunday November 4 instead of the circulated schedule of Wednesday November 7, 2012," a PLB statement stated.
"Match-day-7 has also been brought forward to Sunday November 11 from November 18 but the match-day-7 fixture between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Stadium will be played on November 18 due to the unavailability of the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday November 11, 2012."
Meanwhile Ashgold have recorded three wins and two draws after five games and are third on the league radar with nine points and now play away to Kpando Hearts of Lions on Sunday, November 4.
