The Member of Parliament for Ketu-South says his next agenda will be to garner as many votes as possible for the NDC in his constituency next year.
Speaking with Joy News’ Kwabena Ampratwum, Fifi Kwetey said he will work assiduously to win over one hundred thousand votes for President Mahama in the 2016 elections.
“Our focus is not so much on NPP in Ketu- South but to push a minimum of one hundred thousand votes for President Mahama” he said.
Fifi Kwetey was retained by the NDC in the parliamentary primary held yesterday. He pulled over 85 per cent of the votes cast, while his two rivals together polled a little over 12 per cent.
Mr Kwetey who is also the Agriculture Minister believes his great works in the constituency made the people retain him.
“I think the Ketu South people have for a long time wanted somebody who really can be a very proud ambassador for them and they have gotten that, and for the past three years they have seen significant development” he stated.
In a press statement, Mr Kwetey said he will work together with his contenders to win more votes for the party.
“Both Sylvanus and Famous have called to congratulate me. I thanked them both and reaffirmed my determination for us to work together towards a greater agenda of getting JM a one touch victory...,” the statement read.
He urged all party members to put the past behind them, close their ranks and focus on victory 2016.
