The Finance Ministry has begun a series of meetings on implementing the outcome of the National Economic Forum.
The first of such meetings was held last Friday, a day after the forum issued its 22 point communiqué.
More of the implementation meetings have been scheduled for this week as the ministry takes urgent steps to ensure speedy rollout of the agreed points designed to revive the ailing economy.
Deputy Finance Minister, Cassel Ato Forson says his outfit will fully co-operate with the post forum implementation committee.
He told Joy News, “we have already started working around it, the implementation committee has been formed, the implementation committee will start work, they will ensure that we at the ministries, departments and agencies implement the consensus agreed at Senchi and we will do it.”
According to him, portions of the communiqué would not receive immediate impact. “Some of them will not result in immediate impact. Some of them look at the long-term, and going through the long-term is very important; we start today and drive it to the long term,” he explained.
