Fire Tuesday morning gutted a hostel of the Akropong Presby Training College consuming personal properties of students.
A lecturer at the school, Ralph Ofei confirmed the incident to Joy FM hours after the fire.
“The fire occurred in the boxroom of the main hall of the lady’s hostel,” he said.
The affected room houses personal belongings and students mattresses, cooking utensils, books were all reduced to ashes, he said.
The fire started at approximately 4:20am and was put out by the male counterparts of the hostel before the arrival of the Fire service.
“In that particular room there is nothing left. Everything was consumed,” Ofei said.
The cause of the fire is suspected to be an electrical fault.
Students close to that hall have been relocated and the third floor of the building closed down temporarily.
