Fire has gutted a warehouse at the Industrial area in Accra, Joy News has learned.
According to Joy FM correspondent, Yaa Asamoah, the fire began at approximately 19:15 GMT and has been raging for over 30 minutes.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
The warehouse said to be owned by some Indians is sited close to the Melcom branch in industrial city, and contained assorted items including car batteries, tomato paste, and oils.
One of the owners was seen shedding tears as the fire razed the warehouse
Personnel from the fire service were able to put out the fire after almost two hours of burning.
A witness who was present when the fire began said onlookers were unhappy with the fire service after personnel warded off their attempt to help put out the fire.
