Immediate past World Amputee Football Federation president, Rick Hoffman has thrown his weight behind African Paralympics Committee’s bid to get Ghana to participate in the upcoming World cup.
Despite Ghana's team booking their ticket to the world event via their triumph at the Nations Cup in Tanzania last year, the World Football Federation in a strong-worded communiqué informed Ghana’s Amputee Association about their ineligibility to participate due to non-completion of affiliation forms.
The Amputee Football world governing body has proceeded to make Ghana a reserve team, but that decision appears to have angered both the Ghana Amputee Football Association and her mother body, the Africa Paralympic Committee.
Hoffman is the latest to add his voice to the ongoing Chaos and suggested in a message to the Africa Paralympic committee President he questioned the basis of WAFF to exclude Ghana from the world cup

“Good day President. First of all, in my opinion, Baker didn't write that. The language style is. On my opinion, much different than in previous communications I've received.
Next and I'll double-check, but while there were EC concerns about Ghana missing 2 consecutive World Cups after confirming its attendance, there is no record and vote banning Ghana from the 2022 WC at the 2018 Congress.
My guess is that there may be some confusion between issues regarding Kenya and Ghana as countries and between discipline against Ghana as a country and banning Peter Oloo as an individual from the 2018 tournament.
Oloo was suspended from all WAFF activities by the EC. I am unaware of any formal action lifting that suspension. Why should WAFF keep having contacts and connections with Francis Adjetey Sowah and Co who had been banned for life?
As you know, I suffered two major computer crashes, much data was lost. Other materials were damaged, but I will double-check and will get back to you today”.
Meanwhile, lawyers of the African Paralympics Committee are preparing to officially respond to WAFF with the aim of ensuring a deserving representative for the continent at the world event.
