Board member of Great Olympics Fred Pappoe was filled with delight after his side secured qualification to the Ghana Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Olympics managed to re-join the big boys after only a season in the second-tier league.
The Wonder club came from behind to earn a 2-1 victory over Mighty Jets at their favorite home grounds in Teshie.
Olympics currently top the zone three table with 63 points, four adrift from second placed Okyeman Planners.
And the bank roller of the club is happy with their promotion because it’s a dream come true but admits that Divison One zone is a dreaded place for any club to be.
‘’We targeted a return to the premier league after demotion. And thanks to God it has been possible. It’s by God’s grace not the effort of anyone ” Pappoe said.
“I am very happy with this achievement. I thank the players for showing lots of commitment,”
‘’I tell you the second tier league is not easy. It’s a dreaded place and I will not wish it for any side’’
“I believe every Olympics fan are happy with our coming back to the Premier League, it hasn’t been easy for us.’’
