Ghana Football Association spokesperson Ibrahim Saani Daara has noted that Sports Minister Nii Lantey Vanderpuye has set an agenda to destroy the GFA.
This comes off the back of recent comments and revelations in the media which seem to have painted the football association black.
The FA have been tagged with issues of corruption but the spokesperson clearly feels these are calculated attempts to tarnish their image.
“We are not taking this thing lightly at all. Because you say things and leave them hanging, what kind of impression does that give about the football association? One of the marketing guys we have appointed, we have given mandates to go and get a sponsorship for us, for our competitions,” he said on the Joy Sports Link.
“One of our concerns is that someone saying they met the company and that your Minister is saying that you are unaccountable.”
“This is hugely damaging, cannot be followed through. The minister is the arch promoter of sport; we are not even saying football, of sport in the country. Why would you make a conscious effort of damaging football?”
“Publicly, all these things he is saying is damaging for the country. The earlier he stops saying these things the better for all of us.”
