The Angola 2010 African Cup of Nations has ended with Ghana bowing to Egypt.
The Black Stars put up a gallant performance but succumbed to their superior opponents, the Pharaohs who were pre-match favourites.
The Stars played out their hearts but substitute Mohammed Gedo broke the heart of Ghana with superb through ball that left Stars goalie Richard Kingson with no dog’s chance of a save in the 85th minute of the game.
The win gave the Pharaoh’s an historic third successive win of the coveted cup and another historic 7th time win.
The Black Stars went into the tournament with a tall list of injuries forcing Coach Milovan Rajevac to rely on a predominantly youthful side.
They did not disappoint, proving the skeptics wrong by cruising to the final in 18 years.
