Ghana Football Association vice president George Afriyie says Kwasi Appiah will be tasked to bring back the winning feel to the Black Stars.
The Ghana FA on Tuesday confirmed Kwasi Appiah's reappointment as coach of the Black Stars as he comes in following the departure of Avram Grant after the 2017 AFCON campaign in Gabon.
George Afriyie who doubles as chairman of the Black Stars management says Kwesi must build a winning Black Stars team.
” He should bring the team back to winning ways, he should help the team to win back these are the most important things we expect him to do as a coach’’
”Let me make this point clear I have heard some of you the journalists say Kwesi Appiah was sacked by the Ghana Football Association after the country’s 2014 worldcup debacle which isn’t the case.
"The truth of the matter is the FA had a press conference with he[Kwesi Appiah at the Alisa Hotel after the mundial and told him we had fate in him and even renewed his contract so I feed bad when I hear them make such false reports”
Appiah is set to begin work on May 1
