Aston Villa U23 coach George Boateng has donated assorted items to the Teshie Children’s Home in Accra.
The items included bags of rice, toiletries, drinks, bags of sachet water, cooking oil and an undisclosed amount of money.

The 45-year-old former Aston Villa midfielder, who is in Ghana on Christmas holidays, said he was touched by the plight of orphans, hence his decision to make the donation.

“We the players and coaches have been really lucky with the kind of life we live and the blessing we have. When you are blessed, I think it’s important to share what you have with the less-privileged people in society”, he said.

After the donation, George Boateng interacted with the children and inspired them to pursue their dreams.
