The Ghana Chamber of Young Entrepreneurs has launched the Young Female Entrepreneurs Programme (YoFEP), a transformative initiative aimed at empowering young Ghanaian women in entrepreneurship.
The programme will focus on providing comprehensive support, including training, mentorship, and access to capital which is aimed at ensuring sustainability of the businesses under the programme.
The virtual launch event, held on June 15, 2023 witnessed the presence of distinguished guests, industry leaders, and prominent figures dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship.
The keynote address was delivered by Kosi Yankey-Ayeh, CEO of the Ghana Enterprises Agency. In her address, she expressed government’s unwavering commitment to support women entrepreneurs as well as initiatives which aims at empowering women.

Chairperson, of the Chamber's Governing Council, Richard Adison who opened the event, extended a warm welcome to all participants and highlighting the Chamber's commitment to empower young entrepreneurs especially women.
Sherif Ghali, CEO of the Ghana Chamber of Young Entrepreneurs, presented a comprehensive overview of YoFEP, outlining its objectives and significance in driving economic growth.
He pledged the chamber’s commitment to support and encourage women led initiatives and businesses.
“The chamber will continue to offer tailored support to businesses owned by women and all women-led enterprises.”
“We shall provide young female entrepreneurs with the tools, knowledge and resources needed to succeed in their ventures”, he added.
Partners of the initiative; Dvelopment Bank Ghana, WUSC Ghana and GIZ Ghana congratulated the chamber for initiating the Young Female Entrepreneurs Programme citing the crucial role women play in driving innovation and economic progress.
YoFEP holds immense promise in transforming the entrepreneurial landscape for young Ghanaian women. By removing barriers and fostering a supportive ecosystem which will elevate the participation of young women in entrepreneurship as well as create a vibrant and inclusive business environment.
