Ghana have qualified for the Africa Cricket Division 1 following the team’s 131 runs victory over Mozambique in the final game of the T20 Pepsi Africa Division 2 tournament in South Africa on Wednesday.
The Black Batters scored an impressive 200 runs for 4 wickets in 20 overs during the first innings and Mozambique only managed 69 runs for 7wickets in 16 overs.
Ghana topped the table following Zambia’s 62 runs defeat to Nigeria to earn a superior net run after both Ghana and Zambia clinched 8 points apiece.
The victory guarantees Ghana a slot in next year’s Africa Division One to be staged in Uganda and World Division 6 cricket Tournament in either Australia or New Zealand.
