The 2021 Ghana Movie Awards was held on December 30, 2021.
Movies like Borga, Sugar, Savannah, Coming To Africa, Cross, Shemale, The Therapist, Cold Road and Famous were all in contention for various awards.
The film Borga won seven awards - making it the movie with the highest wins on the night. The cast won Best Production Design, Best Picture, Cinematography,
New actor Eugene Boateng who was the lead actor in the movie won the Discovery Award but missed out on winning the award for lead actor.
Lydia Forson and Adjety Annan who were also in the movie won the awards for Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role and Performance by an Actor in Supporting Role respectively.
The controversial film, Savannah won the Make Up and Styling award. Anthony Woode who starred in the film won the award for Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role.
KiDi's musical named after his debut album 'Sugar' also won an award for Original Music.
