The Ghana-Russian Center for Commerce and Relations has signed a landmark agreement with Kuban State Agrarian University to promote practical and innovative agriculture in Ghana.
This partnership aims to enhance agricultural productivity, introduce modern farming techniques, and improve food security in Ghana
The MoU was signed by Chief Executive Officer, John Aggrey on behalf of Ghana-Russian Center for Commerce and Relations and the Vice-Rector on International Communication and Youth Policy, Polutina Tatyana Nikolaeva on behalf of Kuban State Agrarian University (KUBSAU).
This partnership is part of the Ghana-Russia Center's efforts to strengthen bilateral ties between Ghana and Russia. The Center has been actively promoting interests in the areas of investment, education and cultural exchange between the two countries
The signing ceremony was witnessed by H.E. Mr. Sergei Berdnikov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Ghana, Natalia Muzhennikova, the Consular of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Ghana and Madam Ziona Ayorkor Holm, Head of Business Development and Innovations at the Ghana-Russia Center for Commerce and Relations.

The major focus of the agreement is to scale up admissions of students and specialists on Partly and State-Funded places in Agro-biological courses which includes Agronomy and Ecology, Agricultural Chemistry and Plant Protection, Veterinary Medicine, Food Production and Biotechnology, Horticulture and Viticulture and Zootechnics.
Kuban State Agrarian University is a higher educational institution with a rich history, progressive present and reliable future. The traditions established by our teachers and students of several generations are a secure foundation for its development.
Since its foundation, the University has prepared more than 151 thousand specialists. At the moment, more than 15 thousand students are studying on 17 faculties as full-time or correspondence students.
The Ghana-Russia Center for Commerce and Relations is expected to play a key role in implementing the agreement and facilitating collaboration between Ghanaian and Russian agricultural institutions.
