Ghana skier Kwame Nkrumah-Acheampong has dropped hints of a possible return from retirement to compete at the World Skiing Championship in Garmisch, Germany next year.
The Snow Leopard disclosed that he will only return to competitive skiing if he is unable to discover young skiers to represent Ghana at the global event.
The 34-year-old retired shortly after he became Ghana’s first athlete to compete at a Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver this year.
Nkrumah Acheampong tells Joy Sports about his talent hunt at the UK and Europe.
“I am still hoping with fingers crossed that I can find some Ghanaian hiding some where who is phenomenal in some kind of alpine winter sport.
“…If not I just have to go there ski as best as I can but really after the World Championship I will have no more."
