The Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) is set to organize a one week beach soccer coaching course in Accra.The course which will be in partnership with Ghana Football Association will be held at the La Beach Soccer Arena in Accra and Prampram Soccer Centre from the 29th of July to the 2nd of August 2012.Ten registered beach soccer clubs under the Ghana Beach Soccer Association (GBSA) will have the opportunity to partake in the course aimed at improving their general and technical knowledge about the fastest growing sport in the world.The GBSA recently concluded the first ever double tier beach soccer leagues played at the La Beach Soccer Arena.Ten clubs featured in the Championship League sponsored by Cal Bank and won by Keta Sunset from the Volta region.In the Division One League also featuring ten teams and sponsored by South African firm Clementia Contacto, Teshie United Sporting emerged champions to gain automatic promotion to the top flight next season.The upcoming coaching course is in line with a commitment by GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi to boost beach soccer in Ghana ahead of application to compete in CAF and FIFA organised competitions.The President of the GBSA Yaw Ampofo Ankrah has welcomed the development as a vital step to form Ghana's first national beach soccer team in partnership with the GFA.
