Mr Siloam Morgan, a Kumasi-based evangelist, on Wednesday urged the people to sustain the peace and stability Ghana was enjoying for national development.
He said Ghanaians had always cherished peace and would not tolerate any acts that would disturb the peace of the country.
Mr Morgan said these at a meeting of the Ashanti Regional Women’s Prayer Group (ASHRWOPG) in Kumasi.
Selected Christian women from the Presbyterian, Methodist, Pentecost, Assemblies of God and the Seventh-Day Adventist churches through out the country attended the event.
Mr Morgan advised politicians and their followers to carry out their electioneering campaigns peacefully as the country came closer to the 2008 Election.
He commended the government for ensuring freedom of association as a fundamental human right that had enabled many people to worship God and propagate the gospel without hindrance.
Mr Morgan lauded ASHRWOPG for organizing periodic prayer meetings for the nation to ensure peace, stability and development.
He appealed to the people to unite and avoid divisive tendencies that could divide the country.Source: GNA
