The government’s resetting agenda must be holistic and general such that every Ghanaian everywhere will benefit, Mr Prince Bugnaba Mba, President of Forum for Equity has suggested.
“The resetting must not be limited to political opponents, but to the whole private and public sectors, where there is a whole lot of conniving by intricate legalised rip-off.”
In a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Tuesday, Mr Mba said there was a need for a drastic change.
“No Ghanaian should compete with animals for unwholesome drinking water.
“The growing disparity of the unemployed and employed is getting to a point that we are experiencing a lot of graduates seeking aid to overall distress”.
He said everyday Ghanaians see the mass movements of equipment for mining, construction and completely knocked down infrastructure components of various types for the fast industrial development being undertaken in Burkina Fasso with the yearning desire, that will need similar or a fast track version.
“Without sounding condescending, Ghana has a better climatic vegetative cover with large expanse of solid minerals embedded in the bowels than most of the neighbouring countries ;it’s therefore ironically confusing to comprehend the development indicators as against the massive exploitation by foreign mining company with their few political cronies”.
He said nature abhorred vacuum just as government hated constructive criticism, but must be made to understand the essence of power was the right to a dignified life through gainful engagement.
“We have more than enough for the common good of all, if only we become pragmatic, purposeful and full of visionary zeal”.
