Renowned broadcaster and gender advocate, Gifty Anti, has called on young women to see education not just as a means to a job, but as a force for transformation.
Speaking at the launch of the 2025 Freelancers Programme at The African Freelancers (TAF) College, Perez University, in Dzorwulu, she encouraged students to pursue their education with humility, purpose and resilience.
"When you educate a woman, you educate a nation," she said on Thursday, May 22, 2025 in Accra.
"Let that education shape your character - not your ego. Don’t just pass through TAF College - let TAF College pass through you."

Now in its third year, the Freelancers Programme provides free, practical training for school dropouts, young mothers and unemployed youth, empowering them to rewrite their stories with real-world skills and new opportunities.
Gifty Anti emphasised that while knowledge is crucial, true success is built on persistence and inner strength.
"Growth is a journey. Stay focused, stay grounded. Learn from setbacks, support each other, and never lose sight of your dream," she added.
Also speaking at the event, IT expert Prince Sefah underscored the value of emotional and social intelligence in today's fast-paced work environment.
According to him, "it is not just about technical skills; you must understand yourself and others to truly lead and succeed."

With its mission to uplift and empower, TAF College is not only teaching skills; it is nurturing confident changemakers ready to impact their communities and the world.

Empowering young women is essential for achieving gender equity and fostering inclusive development.
Thought leaders who gathered at the event advocated the need to equip young women with relevant tools like education, mentorship and support to uplift them.
