Defender Godfred Saka has confirmed his supposed move to Nigerian topflight side Enyimba has fallen through at the last hour.
Saka was confident of signing for Enyimba having spent more than a week running fitness test and fostering a deal but has withdrawn from talks with the team after they requested he stay for two more weeks in order to run more fitness tests.
“I will not be signing for Enyimba because I don’t think the club is serious about the deal. They told my agent that they want to keep me for the next two weeks to check my fitness” Saka stated.
Despite the Enyimba move failing to materialise, Saka insists he is not going to extend his stay at Aduana Stars after his contract expired last month.

According to him, Aduana neglected him during his time on the sidelines with injury. He said there were times when he had to pay from his pocket to see a physiotherapist after he had exhausted money given to him by the club to treat himself.
“I don’t want to extend my time at Aduana either because of the way the club treated me during my injury. There were times where I had to pay with my own cash to see a physio.”
Asked about any possibility of joining a local side, Saka said he was yet to receive an offer from any club in the country but would consider any move that would come his way.
