The Gomoa East Constituency Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have condemned a rape allegation against Mr Kingsley Ahunu Armah, the District Chief Executive. This was contained in a statement read by Mr Kwesi Peter Essel, the Constituency Chairman, at a press conference at the party’s office in reaction to a publication in a newspaper. The statement said investigations showed that the DCE did not invite any queen mother to a hotel and attempted to rape her and that he had been fined by the two Gomoa Traditional Councils to the tune of GH¢4,500. “We describe the publication as frivolous, a calculated attempt by the paper and its agents to discredit the DCE whom we know as a man of good behaviour, hard working and will never indulge in such shameful act,” the statement said.
