The Presidential advisor on Health, Dr Anthony Nsiah-Asare has revealed that government will launch a mobile that will enable people to book appointments to be vaccinated.
Speaking on Newsfile Saturday, the former Ghana Health Service boss explained that the App will help streamline the process as the government begins vaccinating the population in the coming week.
“Going forward, we are going to have an app where people can also book appointments so that you will be sent SMS messages that it is time for you to come for your immunisation, especially the second doses after eight weeks so that you are prompted and then you come for the immunisation.”
According to him, “about two or three people have come to show us simple apps that you can use to let people register and come for the immunisation.”
He observed that the Electoral Commission (EC) created a similar app that had helped during its registration.
“You will remember getting to the end of the registration, Electoral Commission also developed a very simple app where people were using it to book appointments, so we are looking at all these things.”
