Asante Kotoko coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has urged fans to be patient as he needs time to rebuild the team following their slow start to the 2017-18 Ghana Premier League campaign.
The Porcupine Warriors were held to a 1-1 stalemate by Berekum Chelsea on Wednesday and have dropped to the seventh position with 10 points after eight games.
However, Fabin, who replaced Steven Polack in February, remains confident that the team will soon produce needed results.
"I'm definitely not impressed with the results we are picking nowadays but it's a work in progress. Before the end of the first round, things will surely improve," he said.
"The supporters must understand that I'm not a magician to turn the Kotoko team around in only two months. It's impossible and I don't think even Pep Guardiola can do that with the materials available," he added.
Fabin also reiterated that he can't promise that Kotoko will end their four-year run without a league title this season.
"I can't promise that we will be winning the league trophy. It will be an illusion to do that but I want the supporters to know that we are doing our best and surely we will improve," the coach said.
"We need time to work on the players’ mentality especially when playing at home because they are always under pressure to deliver," he added.
Kotoko’s next game is against struggling side All Stars in Wa.
