Asamoah Gyan took his goal tally to 18 this season after helping Al Ain to a 2-1 win over Al Shaabab in the UAE Pro League on Friday.
The Ghana captain's 18th goal in ten matches was registered when he put Al Ain in front after 13 minutes.
Gyan now just four goals shy of equaling his 22 goal return in his debut season in the UAE top flight.
Champions, Al Ain are three points clear at the top of the table.
