The St. Augustine's College, Cape Coast will launch its 95th-anniversary celebrations on Friday, August 2, 2024, at the Alisa Hotels, North Ridge, Accra.
The launch, which the 2000 year group would host will be a platform to raise funds towards the group's Legacy Project.
The programme will also allow old boys and guests to socialize and network.
The Legacy Project selected by the group is rehabilitating the Junior Science Laboratory into a complete state-of-the-art science Centre.
The rehabilitation works involve the construction of three labs for Physics, Chemistry and Integrated Science; a smart lecture theatre, an AI, coding and a Robotics Centre office for the Lab Manager. The science centre will also be fitted with a solar power system to provide power when the national grid is off.
The group is targeting to raise an amount of five million Ghana cedis for the project.
With the level of enthusiasm among the APSUNIANS, the Chairman of the occasion, Mr Hackman Owusu-Agyeman is very optimistic this target can be achieved on the day.
